Is there a rule in Russian to write "Кемени" instead of "Кемень"? All these names are the same in Hungarian, and are pronounced Кемень. See the Hungarian interwikis of the articles. Hungarian phonetics is very sophisticated, and many names pronounce in Russia incorrectly (for example, Сциллард вместо Силард). I am a little bit sad because of that. :-) But Hungarian phonetics and pronounciation is very easy, because the same letter means always the same voice, with very few historical excepts. Hungarian phonetics is easy if you regard it as a standalone language. :-) Polish may be misleading, because it is close to Russian. True, Hungarian is not a typical European language. It's grammar is really difficult for foreigners, but not the letters. G is never Д, it is always . GY (a double letter) stands for дь, like in word дядя, but you cannot mix them, beacuse Y will never stand after G as a separate letter. The few exceptions are mostly limited to old family names. Я нашёл в русских книгах с десяток вариантов написания фамилии Bolyai: Болиаи, Больяи, Больяй, Бойяи, Бойаи, Бояи, Бояй и даже Болье. Хорошо, что здесь ошибочное написание не утвердилось.
