Acanthomytilus intermittens (лат.) — вид полужесткокрылых насекомых-кокцид рода Acanthomytilus из семейства щитовки (Diaspididae)[1]. Включён в список насекомых-вредителей[2].

Африка: Египет (Upper Egypt, Nag' Hamadi), Алжир, Марокко. Азия: Израиль, Иран, Афганистан, Таджикистан, Узбекистан. Европа: Италия[1][3].
Описание
Питаются соками таких злаковых растений, как Andropogon, Cynodon, Eragrostis, Erianthus, Imperata, Orisopsis, Panicum, Pennisetum, Saccharum, Vetiveria zizanoides (Poaceae). Вид был впервые описан в 1924 году энтомологом У. Дж. Холлом (Hall, W. J.) как Lepidosaphes intermittens[1][4][5][6][7].
Таксон Acanthomytilus intermittens включён в состав рода Acanthomytilus Borchsenius вместе с таксонами Acanthomytilus arii, Acanthomytilus cedricola, Acanthomytilus chui, Acanthomytilus cypericola, Acanthomytilus sacchari и другими[1].
