Thynnidae (лат.) — семейство ос (ранее в составе семейства ос-тифиид). Личинки паразитируют (эктопаразитоиды) на пластинчатоусых жуках, которых взрослые осы парализуют и откладывают на них свои яйца. Самки некоторых подсемейств (Diamminae, Methochinae, Thynninae) бескрылые, а самцы крылатые[1][2].

Систематика
Семейство выделено в 2008 году[3]. Традиционно Thynninae рассматриваются в составе семейства Tiphiidae[2][1][4]. По данным современных исследований (Pilgrim et al., 2008) надсемейство Vespoidea признано парафилетичным и поэтому некоторые группы выделены в самостоятельные семейства и даже надсемейства: Tiphioidea (Sierolomorphidae + Tiphiidae) и отдельно Thynnoidea (Chyphotidae + Thynnidae = Anthoboscinae — Diamminae — Methochinae — Myzininae — Thynninae)[5][6][7][8][9][7].
