Memtest86+ 8.10: memory check tool update.
May 22nd 2026
(language: English // Russian)
On May 16, a new version of the free Memtest86+ tool - 8.10 - was released. The program allows you to check RAM directly through the BIOS/UEFI without starting the operating system, and when errors are detected, it helps to exclude corrupted memory areas in Linux through the memmap parameter. The project is distributed open source under the GPLv2 license.
In version 8.10, the developers fixed the bugs found, added x2APIC support, improved compatibility with Intel Lunar/Panther Lake and LPDDR5, improved the accuracy of measuring cache and RAM bandwidth, and updated the boot via BIOS, grub and Secure Boot. In addition, x86_64-builds now use SIMD (SSE2).
