LDL 0.2 update (Little DirectMedia Layer).
June 11th 2026
(language: English // Russian)
Version 0.2 of the LDL multimedia library has been released - a cross-platform API for creating graphical applications that work on both modern and outdated systems (Windows 95+, macOS 10.6+, Linux with the 2.0+ kernel, FreeBSD 3.0+). The library is written in C, is distributed under LGPL 3.0 and provides a single interface for working with graphics (including OpenGL 1.0–4.6 support) and input processing.
Version 0.2 adds a universal 2D renderer with buffering and rendering optimization, an experimental 3D renderer with a single API for different versions of OpenGL, as well as an official C++binding. Plans include the development of a 3D API, the addition of an audio subsystem, documentation and the expansion of support for programming languages.
