The sealed Half-Life became the most expensive PC game at the auction.

The original sealed copy of Half-Life in near-perfect condition set a new record for PC games sold at auction. A copy with a rating of 85+ from the Video Game Authority was sold for $11,250, and taking into account the commission, the total cost was $13,725, surpassing previous records for computer games.
Half-Life was released in 1998 and became one of the most influential games in history, marking the beginning of the cult series from Valve. Sealed copies of the original large boxed edition are extremely rare today, which is what made this lot so valuable for collectors.
