Total Commander 11.58 has been released with improved archive security.

On July 1, 2026, the Total Commander 11.58 file manager for Windows was released. The new version includes bug fixes, improved protection when working with archives with encrypted file names, updated WinRAR 7.23 and 7-Zip 26.02 libraries, as well as a change in the version number from 11.57a to 11.58 to eliminate compatibility problems with WinGet.
Total Commander remains a shareware application with a 30-day trial period and supports a wide range of Windows versions - from Windows 3.1 and 95 to Windows 11. The project continues to evolve, and among its alternatives are available free file managers Double Commander and GNOME Commander.
